Anti-tumor Activity of Plantago lanceolata Aqueous Extract In Vitro and Genotoxicity by Micronucleus Assay In Vivo

The study is designed to evaluate the effect of aqueous extract P. lanceolata plant, as well know drug CCl4 on formation micronucleus in vivo 48 female albino mice. In mice were separated into eight groups treated intraperitoneally for seven day first group Negative control, second positive control( 0.02%), third (250 mg/kg), fourth (500 fifth (CCl4 0.02%) plus sixth seventh mg/kg) and eighth 0.02%). genetic-cellular aspect involved measuring coefficient bone marrow cells with plant extract. results showed that treatment led a rise compared negative control group. addition, it plant's ability reduce totals overlaps between at concentrations used 250 500 μg/ml micronucleus. cellular toxicity plant’s liver cancer cell line was assessed HepG2 (liver line) WRL68 (hepatic human using (25, 50, 100, 200, 400 μg /ml) from line. decrease viability depending concentration. vitality decreased increase concentration; reached minimum concentration 45.34±4.44, while maximum when 25 84.53±2.41.
